Brake bleeding problem 2000 Infiniti I30-

I just replaced the rear disk pads and proceeded to bleed the lines. The front right and rear left brakes bleed as intended. However the rear right and front left will not bleed. They act as though they are suddenly clogged. No air, no fluid, nothing. The reservoir never went dry to affect the master cylinder - but what could have happened that is not allowing the bleed?

I had an issue with a bleeder where it was actually rusted enough to block the flow. Other than that, the only other thing I can think of is a collapsed or twisted brake hose.

Do the rear brakes work?

If they do, bleeder valve. You can take the bleeder valve out and clean it. The hole might be filled with gunk.

I was told that because it is the "opposite" brakes that don't work (front left, rear right) and the others do - it is possibly the master cylinder or other part. Thanks for the ideas though.

Honda set up their cars with 2 port from the master, and each one then a front and the opposite rear. Nissan on the other hand, does a front and a rear port, which is a much more common set up (to my knowledge). I have honestly never dug into the abs system, but that would be my next stop after double checking that the bleeders themselves aren't the issue.

I had the same exact problem with my 98 max, i had to replace the master brake cylinder, what happend is, that i had my wife inside the car to help me bleed the brakes, and she was pushing the brake pedal all the way to the floor, at the time i didn't know that was not good for the o-ring seals inside the master cylinder, from what i have read, when the piston with the o-ring seals inside the master cylinder, are traveling all the way inside the bore it can damage the o-rings, and my problem was exactly the same the left front and right rear brakes would not bleed any fluid out. i read an article that said to put a block of wood under the brake pedal so won't mistakenly push all the way, and to push brake pedal slowly, as to not cause air bubbles. its a good idea to bleed out all the old brake fluid, as brake fluid will get moisture in it and water is not a good thing in brake fluid as it will lower the boiling point of the brake fluid, in Germany brake fluid is required to be flushed every 2 years.
