hello. 2 quick problems i need some insight in:

first, i heard screeching coming from back left wheel. decided to change brake pads. did rear right first, where pad was still in tolereance. then went to the left rear were it was achreeching; only to find out that the inside pad (which has the metal tab) was worn unevenly (it was slanted, the thin, most worn out part was where the metal tab was, and the opposite side was still thick)and after i put in the new pads, i screwed down the piston enough so it could fit, BUT the caliper NO longer lines up anymore!! however, it DOES when i use the old pads?!?! whats wrong? could the caliper be warped? do i need new calipers??

second, i got a screw somehow in my front left tire and it is deflating fast. what is the best thing to do? bring it to wal-mart or use a "fix a flat" product?

it just isnt my day with tires *sigh* hehe

thanks in advance to all who help!!

bring the tire to just about any garage and they will plug/patch it for like 10$.

Well the inside pad on the rears will get the most wear, but if the last person that did a brake job failed to realize that you have to screw the piston back in and used c-clamps then you will have to rebuild it or the caliper could be warped. There is no way for us to tell unless you take some pictures. A shop could figure it out in hopefully a few minutes.
