91 240sx se.. All stock. Car is from North Dakota. mint. Used to be driven by a little old lady, so i suspect it was sitting a while.

The front brakes were sticking and upon investigating it must have been leaking. I found a brake fluid bottle in trunk, brake master cylinder had been JB welded. Replaced master cylinder and brake booster from another 240 and bled the system. Worked for a while then started up again. Replaced both front calipers with new loaded ones and rebled the system just in case. Worked out for a long time, now acting up. When the brakes start to stick, you can lift up on the brake pedal and then they work fine. Could it possibly be the push rod on the brake booster needs to be adjusted? Or do you think its still the master cylinder( the brake pedal is nice and firm)

i had sold the car then he gave it back because he could not figure out the clutch issue it now has. He said he could not shift or take it out of gear unless he pumped the clutch pedal. Then one day it whent totally out, I took a look at the slave cylinder and it was leaking hard core. I told him to replace the slave cylinder wich he did and bleed the system. Now he says when he pushes it to the floor, it sticks. It works if he barely pushes on it and pumps it then shifts. Could it be he did not adjust the rod correctly, if not at all.

I will be taking the car back this weekend to try to fix and resale.any help would be greatly appreciated. :

simple problem on the clutch, He didnt bleed it ggood enough, they are a pita to bleed.

Your brake issue sounds a bit like you may have a booster problem. If the pedal is pushing down by itself and applying the brakes I am leaning toward the booster. I have made the assumtion when you say the brakes are sticking they are actually apllying the brakes. correct me if I am wrong.
