Brain fart: Clutch question...well more pressure plate specific

Ok, it's 4:20am and my brain took a fart. Now I'm forgetting if the pressure plate when installed should bow out like it does when it's coming out of the packaging or should the spade shaped parts of the pressure plate lay down flat?

they will go in almost flat as you tighten the plate to the fly wheel
