ok i am going to tell you everything that i know and i will let you guys try and help me out.the car: is a 1997 240sxthe engine: 1995 S14 SRthe transmission: 5 speedthe upgrades: HKS intercoolerHKS intakeHKS exhaustHKS bovHKS down pipeHKS turbo timerthe gauges: JDM cluster
K this is what we are starting with. here is the problem:
If you let the car idle for 5 minutes it goes into a weird fuel cut limp mode. it happens at 5 minutes on the dot, every time, at the 5 minute mark it goes into this limp mode. it does not matter if the engine is hot or cold. dose it anyway. it only revs to 1500 rpm, it is not the normal limp mode of 2400 rpm. this is different. the ecu is cutting the injector signal. i have checked the following and i know they are good:ECU: good( all three of them)MAF: goodCAS: goodTPS: goodCOOLANT TEMP SENSOR: goodthere is no knockall the injectors workall the coil packs workthe ignitor worksthe timing is at 15 degress BTDCthe vehical speed sensor is working.
there are no codes present. any one have any ideas as to what could be the problem? anything that i am missing?
thanks for any help
