I'm about to put an SR in my 240 and I am going to use an Autometer electric oil pressure gauge. I want to use a braided stainless steel line to remote mount the sender so that the sender does not break off on the block as has been discussed in previous posts. I know that the stock pressure sender uses 1/8 BSPT threads and the autometer sender uses 1/8 NPT but I can get an adapter from mcmaster.com so that is not a problem.

My question is if I get a braided line from autometer, what size are the connections on the hose. I've looked at autometer's web page but all they say are the fittings are AN 3 or AN 4. What does that mean? Is it a different standard than NPT. I'm just trying to figure out what line I need to order? Has anybody bought/used one of these? Sorry about the long post. Thanks.

Bump.

Anybody?

Also, I know that the if you use a tee on the the block that they break easy, but has anybody just put the sender on the block with the adapter and have it break off?
