I'm looking to completely upgrade my whole suspension, (arms, bushings, rods, bars..etc). I noticed only generic companies sell Lower tie bars and braces. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...78651 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...h=007

So do these products strenghten the suspension or is it all crap?

front under brace? yes... but to what extent? it all depends on what else you have, how "in tuned" are you w/ your car, etc. It's basically a poor man's nismo power brace.

rear lower tie bar? debatable...

If you are doing all daily driving w/ it. It doesn't do anything. Usually those are the finishing touches on a car, when you ran out of stuff to put on, haha.

Good man. Thanks for the info. When it comes to suspension, I'm clueless. So I guess I'll the the Nismo Power brace for my front end (from FRSport), is it difficult to install? But, what about the rear end? I plan to get the Kazama rear camber arms, toe control arms, and traction arms. Is there anything else your recommend other that Coilovers and strut bars?

I have that same OBX rear lower tie bar. I never had a chance to put it on. If you'd like, I can sell it to you for $40 shipped. It still has all the plastic wrapping. Just PM me at [email protected]

As for front, I recommend the Nismo Powerbrace.

I was gonna buy the nismo power brace and Tension rods from SPL, but they told me for the money I would be better off buying the Tension rods and getting Toe rods for the rear. Of course I already have the KTS coilovers and ruca's they sell.

And really, there's no reason you can't find the parts to make your own "power brace" in some company's scrap pile. Then just find you a welder that'll do it for 20 bucks or less...

Just some food for thought

Use the money you would spend on strut bars for something more useful. Replace all your bushings with heim joints or new rubber/urethane, replace tie rods and ends, replace ball joints and get an alignment. The car will benefit more from these things. The rear under brace is worthless on a street car, dont bother with that. Focus on maintenance of wear items. New motor and transmission mounts would fall in this category somewhere also.
