This is so sad to look at. Where is this world going to?
I thought they have people there helping the wildlife? What is going on???
BP has contracted enough people to handle it. ????
Bull!
BP is evil, that is all I can say!

BTW? Did anyone watch 60 Minutes on the BP oil spill?

Indeed. First one I read was blaming everyone that uses petroleum products!

Idiots...

It kind of sucks, when the Exxon Valdez spill occurred we got pictures of animals coated in pure black oil. In the gulf we get brown dispersant mixed oil.

Darn!

I will leave the political sentiment out of this, but I have to say I actually read people commenting that BP blew up it's own rig to have a justifiable reason to raise the price of gasoline at the expense of the workers who died.

What amazes me is the total lack of human compassion a lot of people have regarding the matter. They want to point fingers and lay blame while the crude still flows. Finding the problem's cause to eliminate the chance of another disaster is fine but there are more important things to worry about for now. How long has it been gushing without any viable solution being implemented? Disgusting.

Unfortunately you can't fix stupid!

People don't even get the facts straight. This rig wasn't even producing...

What's sad is that this will be working it's way up the entire East Coast and then out to see towards Europe. If that happens there will be absolutely no way to help the countless number of fish and wildlife that will be exposed to this mess. What started out as a small mess has grown exponentially every week, and now it's the size of Maryland, there is absolutely no way to clean up a mess that big and it's still growing.

I'm just going to put this here...

What's sad is that all the oil spilled (as of a few days ago) is only as much the United States uses in....

ONE HOUR

....Talk about putting things into perspective, eh?

Okay, but does all that oil go to cover cute little animals?

No, it floats in the ocean until it's sprayed with dispersant that are as harmful in their own ways as the floating crude.

It's a total lose-lose situation.

There is some truth out there.

Tom knows whats up.

This has gone on for a very long time, even as far back as 1910 when J P Morgan shut Nicholi Tesla down when he found out that there would be no way to charge people for the energy he was developing. The truth is out there is you look for it.

Please link to information about said quote. That sounds like typical conspiracy BS without validation.

Maybe if those animals weren't so stupid as to hang out in a oil-filled body of water, this wouldn't have happened.

There's a reason why we are king of the planet, people. Thumbs. If those thumbless beasts want to take our place, they better learn better.

So, you're saying instead of putting quarts in my engine, I should just toss in an otter?

Ha! J/k
I'm actually really, really surprised this oil situation hasn't been taken care of already. My friend is actually waiting to ship out there and help with the clean up. He's been on stand by for at least two weeks. He was told that the reason he hasn't been sent is because the Mexico gov't is complaining other nations may take away jobs from their citizens who are going to be hired for this mess. Go figure.

The whole situation sucks. BP has handled the situation horribly. They don't want to work with anyone who wants to help. They won't let their workers talk to anyone. They tried to make the survivors of the explosion sign contracts stating they wouldn't discuss what happened. They haven't done the things they promised they would and they squandered $50 million dollars on a commercial telling people they are deeply concerned about what happened and that they are doing everything they can to fix it.
