Telcoman:

Congrats! The G-35 is turning out not only to be a driver's car but an extremely reliable piece of machine with an adequate amount of power to go with that. Well done Telco.

I have an 07 coupe with 32K miles on it, do you really drive your car at all?

20K miles for an 05 is unacceptable especially for a high performance car, and especially with the original fluids probabaly still sitting in the car for that long. If you do nothing else for your car, please take the car in to your dealership and change all the fluids in it. Fluids start to build acids that attack other internal metal and plastic parts after a while. Best case, they absorb too much moisture that causes corrosion inside the internals.

Cars love to move around to keep tha fluids churning around on the inside, while cleaning out dirt as well. You may not beleive this, but Telco's car at 70K miles with constant tune up, may well be as healthy or healthier than your 20K mile car.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Jacko

My daily commute is 100 miles a day, 500 per week, 2000 per month. I just gave my G its 22nd oil & filter change. It gets a new air filter every 8k miles as they get quite dirty.I change the cabin filter once a year and that is about it for the maintenance. I don't think my engine has ever seen 5k rpm. I have the rev set at 4500.It still consumes oil but it is now 3k miles before it needs a quart so usually I just change it.

I expect to be driving it again to Florida in December

If my 401k doesn't improve soon, who knows, I may have to keep working until I get 500,000 miles on my G?

My 04 Coupe had 16,101miles on it when I got it in May. It now was 21,480 on it.

My neighbor has a 08 Lambo. Gallardo Spyder. Has had it almost a year now. And it has a whopping 315 miles on it. He has lived 2 houses down from me for over 8 months now, and Sunday was the first time I saw it. Never even knew he had it. Hell I had never seen his garage door open before Sunday.

That is what you call a stupid idiot! shame for having that much money and not enjoying it... tell him he can't take it with him and the car is going to lose value even if it just sits in his garage!

i just brought the car... check my signiture... and all the fluids have been changed and the car runs great... brought the car with 18k had it like 2 months, now have like 23k... i drive my car every chance i get

my other car is a 96 jeep sport, had it 5yrs... its has 230k+ miles, still can spin its oversized tires, no CEL, a/c is artic, everything on the dash/eletronics works, ~21 mpg highway, has never broke down once, only had one flat, and is now a daily driver for my mother.

My point is my G35x is in great hands

Well done!

A friend of mine recently bought a 91 Honda Civic form an old retiree with less than 60,000 miles on it. I was dumbfounded. He had to literally start replacing parts slowly but surely as the chassis of the car was in excellent condition. Seeing such a car is almost miraculous.

sounds like that civic was babied... or it just sat up while that man was away at war/work...

thats a great find though!

When the salesman told me that my car had 18k and it was an 05 i didnt believe him... did a car fax report and it was true... turns out my G was leased to some company as a fleet car... i guess my G got the least action

i couldnt pass up a 05 g35 with 18k even though i wanted a black one.

Telco, you beat me by a lot. I thought I would have the highest mileage/year.

My 05 is tipping 60k.

You know, I have been thinking about getting an 03 350Z with maybe 110 miles as my next ride so that i can drive my G-35 C much less. The idea has been floating in my mind for a while now.
