Umm why don't you build it yourself? Cheapest way not that hard. Just built a box for my 2 12" kicker comps Built them to specs and still have plenty of space. What kind of speakers do you have? what are the specs for them. I only have 300watts going to my subs and I blow away people who are running 1000watts. Because my box is built to specs of the speakers. Tell me what kind of speakers you got and if you know the cubic feet it would help. also isn't that privacy net at 11.5" to the bottom. just built mione 37.75x11.5x14 i think those where my measurements.had plenty of room box slides a bit but not i got 2 smaller boxes for my 6x9's so no more movement.

No can do man! Just about worthless back, and definitely worthless neck. Had surgery on my back a couple of years ago,and was fine; Planned to RB20 swap my S13 until I wrecked it. I can barely work at my job on my feet for 4 or so hours with a break with some major tylonol, got me?

How hard is it to put a few screws in? I don't know your history so maybe your back does hurt worse then I can think of. Still I got my lumber cut by the people who I bought it from(Local Lumber yard) Used 3/4"MDF Board. All i did was put the piece ona level surface and screwed them in. Had all sides 45degree angle. Then I used silicone on the inside to make sure it sealed good. So back to my previous question what kind of speakers you got and i can give you a nice set of dimensions. Want it to be fancy or rectangle octagon?maybe a figure eight with the 12's in the middle hmm I think that would fit need to know speakers specs though. Also what is the height form the bottom to your privacy net. It's level with the hatch where it closes isn't it? I can go get a tape and measure mine tomorrow and come with some ideas unless you just want a simple box built to the specs of your speakers. Whether it is a fancy octagon or rectangle goign tohit the same pretty much as long as they are built to speakers specs. So again what kind of speakers do you have.

A ported box always requires more airspace for the same subwoofer. ALWAYS. For example (this is from memory), a JL Audio 10w3 requires a sealed box that is 18" wide, 11" tall and 10.25" deep, where as the ported box requires 23x12x14. Thats quite a bit of difference in terms of airspace, nearly double. All this for a speaker with a continuous power handling ability of a mere 300w.

Now we'll look at the JL 12w7 which can handle 750W of continuous power. It only requires 22.75" of width but requires 15.5" of depth and 15.5" of height to get the correct airspace. So here we have 1 subwoofer that won't fit under the security cover if you mount it horizontally, so you'll have to mount it on an angle to get it under the cover. This will increase the depth needed, but you also can't put too much angle on it or there won't be enough depth to mount the speaker. And thats just ONE speaker, 2 would take up quite a bit more room and you'll still need a place to mount your amplifer (if your amp is putting out a TRUE 1400w its not exactly going to be small, and you won't want to mount it to the box as this increases the likelyhood that its internals will begin to rattle loose and the amp will fail, I've killed 3 PPI amps that way)

The problem with this scenario is that instead of focusing on a setup that will fit your area and give you the bass you want, you are requiring 2 subs of a certain size in a certain style box. I've got a single 10w3v2 running at 3ohms in a sealed box running roughly 250w and it hits pretty hard. If you were to run even 500w to it at 2ohm it would slam. You said you wanted cheap but good, the 2 don't go hand in hand. Most cheap amps are overrated, and theres no one out there verifying the power levels of them. Most cheap subs can't handle real power. To top that off, a well built BASIC ported box for 2 12" subwoofers made from 3/4" MDF and well sealed is going to be around $200.

If you've already got the subs and amps, I might suggest selling them and looking into a single JL 12w6, they require less space than most and can handle decent power. They also put out nice clean bass. Get a single 12W6, push a true 500w-700w max to it in the properly sized ported box and I bet you'll be surprised.

Oh, the max height in the hatch under the privacy panel is 14" if I remember correctly, but it might be 12. Also, if your sitting the box as close the the seat as possible to maximize floorspace, You've only got 21" of width to play with between the inner trunk panels. I've got my single 10 setup that way and it gives me good floorspace. I've got room to mount my amp on the wall of the trunk panel, a battery in the passenger rear corner and my n20 bottle tucked into the drivers rear corner, and I can just barely get my spare tire out still. Remember, if you've got a bad back, you don't want to have to haul a giant box out of your trunk to get to your spare tire should you get a flat.

Yea it's goign to a pain in the *** to get my spare tire out. Actually no it won't because my jack is in florida along with my wrench. So I will S.O.L. I'm goign to make a better box to fit my 240. Right now sits in the back 37 3/4" by 15 by 1o.5 i belevie Sealed. Cost i think 40 for the 3/4" MDF and 20 for the carpet. Goign to make abox that goes flush with the backseat and goes over those humps Hope my measuremnets are going to be correct. But I won't have to worry about this until my other is running with a turbo or 2 still tryign to decide on which way to go. 2 small but twin or one massive one.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yeah,I'm going to sell alot of the stereo stuff here soon towards my RB20DET swap(WOOHOOO!!!!:):):):)) plus I'm sick of both 12's in the back. I think I'll keep one of the 12's if I could find a single box cheap enough just for now,and proble upgrade to a really nice 10,or 12 later (after swap.)
