I put mine on the cold side of the intercooler as close to the throttle as possible. My reasoning is the air should continue to move when the throttle is closed so when it opens I only have to get 6" of stalled air moving again instead of the whole run. Just my personal theory.

never thought about that. why do you think people put it on the hot side?

I have had mine on the hotside since, well... forever. No problems thus far, allthough I haven't tried one on the cold side to compare it to...
