so it is the bov then??outlaw7 wrote:every car that ive heard that has an HKS SSQV BOV sounds exactly like that
Using electric fans in the Desert on the RB? I never had good luck with them on mine. I had the dual felxa lite pullers on my RB20 and the temp still climbed up no matter what when I started driving or was on the dyno. Switching over to the fan clutch was the best thing since sliced bread for my RB.jesse0357 wrote:id say thats stock boost 7-12 lbs, could be wrong. im running around 14 right now, ive been having some cooling issues though not to sure whats going on its not over heating just running around 220 when im on it pretty hard. any thoughts on that?

This is not a BOV centered video but it is super sweet and has some crazy turbine chatter afterwards http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_qCd6Lx7pE
yeah im using 2 12" fans right now they dont really help to much, driving down the road they actually make it worse i think the restric the air flow, id love to use clutch fan but i have zip for room in my s13 i have like 2-1/2 in between my pullys and my radiator. last month i blew a heater core hose on the dyno because it ran so hot.. what a mess coolant everywhere i felt so stupid lolYellow4g63 wrote:Using electric fans in the Desert on the RB? true i just love that sound though. (not the high pitch the dual piston sound)Yellow4g63 wrote:$50 HKS bov = cheap china bov.
ive seen ppl that cut the front core support and push the radiator forward to get the clutch fan on there, not sure id want to do it that way but ill have to give it a look i havent really looking into that i hate clutch fan honestly there so loud! but cool wonderful lolYellow4g63 wrote:Look in the RB section, they have people who run them on S13's. Very good bang for the mod.
I have a S14 it's a little different than the S13.jesse0357 wrote:well looks like ill be pulling out the air tools and cutting away, kinda scares me though.
