BOV Questions

Hey guys
So after doing a fair bit of research and asking a few questions i have decided that i want BOVs.
I know there are side effects BUT, i have decided i want some anyways. I know most people will hate me for it but i am a sucker for the sound of a BOV. And after seeing quite a few cars that usually run a MAF not a MAP, with BOVs i decided it cant be that harmful if so many people do it.
Now i'm trying to decide on what kind of BOV i should get.
Obviously Z1's HKS SSQV4 is the first choice however i find those rather pricey.
If i wanted to buy any other NONE 300zx specific set what should i look out for? I was told i need something with a inlet diameter close to what the stock recirc. hoses are, or look at making a adaptor made.
So my questions really are:
1) Whats the stock Recirc. hose diameter
2) Any generic BOV (of lets say Ebay) would do?
3) Is there any other parts there that i would need in order to install a BOV? (mount it to where the old Recirc. Valves are)
