I have a SR blacktop bone stock, t25 turbo, greedy type-S BOV.. and I'm having a problem with it... My BOV makes a guggling/gushing sound instead of a pshhhhh.... I tried turning the know to the "soft" side and the nut is almost off but.. it stills makes that guggling/gushing sound unless I rev it up over 4k it will make a pshh sound followed by a small guggling sound... is there a leak somewhere? or wut's the problem..? my bov?

i have never had any experience with gredy bov's nor have knowingly heard one in person. but what i will tell you with my hks ssq bov is that at lower rpm shifts it would almost make a flutering sound but at higher rpm shifts it would make a really loud pssshtttttttt then go to a quite flutter. i think your bov is fine thats just the sound it makes. you could always try another greddy bov on your car to see if it sounds different. hope this helps any other questions please email me at [email protected] cuz im not on nicco a lot anymore.

type s bov's are known to have a leak in the diagram. listen to the bov at idle sometimes, you might hear a light whistling sound or some sort and that could indicate that you have a leak.

well if its a type s, its kinda old. Cuz Greddy already replaced it with the RS model i believe...unless you bought it still in box it should be okay. But i have heard that the type-s leaks.

I have a Type-RS and it leaks. It whistles at idle and low RPMs which means it's leaking. Obviously I can't tell at high RPMs.

It's kinda gay though because I'm in the military so I have to roll through a gate at idle all the time and while they're checking my ID my car starts whistling at them. And who knows if this thing is leaking heavily at high RPMs. Stupid Greddy BOV's...

As far as your question it's probably bad due to a weak spring (if it's not adjusting). Have a friend rev your car and check to see if it's the BOV fluttering and not your turbo. Either way, replace that thing.
