Its says this bov is a bypass valve ... basically same thing right? Also, how does the bov know when to release pressure, are they adjustable? Lastly, same with like a 1g dsm bov, I don't know what the stock pressure is, but for a custom turbo app, how do you adjust the setting when the boost is released?

a bypass valve is just a bov with fittings for recirculation. You hook it up to vaccuum or boost (my hks has fittins for both, its called assist style or something). You don't adjust them, most are non adjustable.on a personal note that auction doesn't look like the greatest deal to me.

Okay .. so basically the charged air is just vented or recirculated when vacuum is sensed? And that's the same for all bov's? Second is that one plastic or metal, I heard all bosch's are plastic, but that one looks like its metal. I just looking for a cheap, yet good bov.

DO NOT buy that BOSCH bov... Those things come STOCK on VW cars... and there is a reason why those owners get rid of those 1st...!!!IT is a POS and its non-adjustable...
