The BOV is suppose to actuate as soon as you release the throttle correct? (when you are at a certain rpm)

Why then If i rev my car in neutral, as the rpms are climbing past 4K my BOV begins to make a fluttering noise as if leaking air. By 6K it completely releases and I hadn't let the throttle go.

Is there a remedy to this? Or is my BOV F$c&@d!?

I have a Blitz SS BOV 8 psiT25 turbo.

I appreciate your help.

your wastegate should open before the BOV, its probably just the way you have the vaccum hoses hooked up.

What pressure to you have the wastegate set to? At what pressure does the BOV open?

My BOV's hose is connected to a nipple on the IC piping right before the throttle body.

I don't know at what pressure my wastegate is set to and I couldn't see at what psi my BOV opened my boost gauge's light bulb wasn't working.

thanks for the reply

so then it isn't that my BOV is busted?

What kinda BOV do you have, try tightening it up. It sounds like it's leaking under preasure.

Yeh sounds like the BOV is leaking. Is its a stock unit the spring may have broken... doubtful, but possible

I have my BOV line connected to one of the throttle body nipples. I'm pretty sure that the BOV has to see vacuum in order to function properly.

Yeah, u cant hook it up pre Throttle Bodyit HAS to be after the throttle body...

otherwise it wont work right...

and u guys can build boost in neutral??

i cant get a peep out of my BOV in neutral, no matter how much i idle...well...when i use my 2 step rev limiter then ya.....during a race first gear is done before i get enought pressure for the BOV to be loud enough to be heard...

The wastegate hose should be connected to the nipple on your IC piping, And your BOV should be connected to a vacuum line on your intake manifold or throttle body. If your BOV is still leaking air after you do this either your BOV screw is too loose or its broken.

Hope this helps.

I'm using the same Blitz SS BOV and if you need to check anything inside of it, just get some snap ring pliers to open it up.
