just wondering if you guys could post pics of yur blow off valves.. and put if yur vented or recirculated. and if you guys are vented.. what all did you do to make it run good and idle good and all that good stuff. i had a vented bov (plastic made by denso) and it made my ca run like crap. im gettin the blitz dd one soon so well see how that goes..

usually the only reason why a turbo car will stall when you vent a bov that should be recirculated is because the bov leaks at idle.

HKS SSQV - Vented. No idle issues, or stumbling on acceleration. just an occasional backfire on really slow shifts from high in the power band. Still gonna receric it when I get everything back together.

oh another question.. when i had that bov on, the car smoked alot (assuming it ran rich) and now that i have the stock pipe on.. it doesnt smoke. im going to try and do what sean said.. just throw that bov back on, and tighten the screws down hard... but im wondering if it would smoke if i put it back on..

could be hanging open at idle without boost pressure loading the BOV and keeping it closed. Weak ones do that. When does it smoke exactly?

Mine smokes at idle (white not blue). And I can't for the freaking life of me find an acceptable hose for recurriculating the BOV!! I need a 1 1/2" tube and I have checked everyplace in town (ALL parts stores, and Lowe's/HI) and NO ONE has anything in that size that isn't hard as a rock (and can't be bent) I am getting discouraged

I even tried ordering the hose online. 3 shipments later and I still have nothing that will work

Here's the single BOV look. Since the car now has another new manifold, things had to be changed, but we will be putting the Blitz BOV back because of compressor surge on the highway (Incompleted boost attempt or better yet, let up off the pedal slowly while engine is building boost). The blitz usually took care of that and it never leaked.

cool boost. im using a bov off a 1g eclipse right now. it leaks real bad, and im gettin another one for free from my eclipse homy's. blitz wont come in for another month.. (coming from japan). is it even possible to run a bov vented and not have idle problems? i tried to relocate my MAF but the way its set up wasnt possible.

open atmosphere BOV venting metered air when you shift, car goes rich for a moment, nothing to worry about.

hks valves can be stabilized by hooking the vacuum hose to both ports, it equalises the pressure on both sides of the valve. Properly installed it should not affect your idle at all. I use big valves and crank down on the spring but that's me, my daddy didn't love me and I feel the need to compensate
