I am not sure which one to get I can get a diverter valve for pretty cheap but not sure which one would be better . I heard from someone that bovs venting to the atmosphere can cause the sr to stall or bog out. Is that true ?

It's true that on any MAF metered EFI setup, venting to atmo will cause the car to bog and run rich when you close the throttle plate off (shifting, stopping). You're essentially dumping the air that the ECU has already metered and is expecting, so it has already sent the fuel into the cylinders. The car runs rich and bogs down. Sometimes stalls and dies.
