Yeah, it's finally running with some help from my friends...but something's missing, that telltale "whooosh" or "phssst" or "screeee" of the turbo farting into the air, well, something like that anyway. Okay, to the question: which one of the many on the market do I choose from, I'm on a starving student budget and have no more than $150 shipped to spare and I'd prefer to not buy a plastic one from eBay, although I'm not against buying used name brand...at this point I kind of like the Sard R2D2, but there's not much info on it. I was hoping someone might know something.

And the planned setup will be pumping no more than 10~12 psi of boost on at most an s13 sr20 turbo.

As always, any and all help will be appreciated...I did a search query and came up a little short handed...Thanks.

The R2D2 is just a differently shaped Blitz DD BOV. It sounds the same. You are not running that much boost so many valves will be fine. Greddy Type-R and Tial valves are ment for high boost levels and wouldnt be great for you.

I run a TurboXS type-h non RFL i like it and it doesnt leak.

I run a HKS direct blow off valve. Its the one before the SSQV and they dont make the direct blow off valve anymore. I paid $80 shipped with pipe too! Used but worked great!

i have the apexi twin champer bov and i love it.i done alot research before i got one.and out of all the reading i done.i found that the apexi tc bov perforum better.its not the cheapest and not the most expensive.but i like it.you can adjust the sound on it from quiet to loud.but i believe it might be out of your budget. but the one nnk posted up on ebay would be a good one.and at a good price since it comes with the pipe.

The Apex'i Twin Chamber really isnt all that expensive. You can find some really good deals on used ones on ebay. It's definitely worth checking out. I would recommend looking at the Greddy Type S valves as well since they've been out a while and the release of the RS has brought their price down. Plus it has the ability to be recirculated.

Im with kuruma if want to save some cash and still have a good bov I would go dsm. Go to the junk or check out ebay and get everything you need to get the bov hooked up for cheap.

I agree with these guys too. I had forgotten about the 1g BOV. They are cheap and can hold that boost level. I also personally love the way they sound when they are vented!

I had an ARC and it was too leaky. If you are going for response, and don't mind to recurilate, it is a great option. I currently run a new gen HKS SSQV very tightly set, and it works like a dream. It dosen't even really mess w/ my MAF!

I had an older hks SQV (not SSQV) and it was adjustable but to set it tight enough that it didn't leak made it very unresponsive. Even then if I put the clutch in while slowing down towards a stop sign etc it would die. I changed over to a TBO valve and its super responsive, higher pitched, louder, and my car doens't die anymore.
