BOV open at idle

i have a turboxs BOV and at idle i can look inside it and see the BOV up and air is leaking out of it. so i packed 4 washers in there and now it keeps shut at idle. has anyone had this problem with it only at idle?

mine stayed closed but as long as it works fine under boost, or releasing it, i dont see why it should matter. unless youre worried about unfiltered air going into your motor

There is no boost at idle, only vacuum.

Wild: Where are you getting vacuum from?

right after the TB is a nipple that i run a line off of. this is the kae.

If your using the one on the lower portion of the TB check to see if the hole is clogged....especially if your EGR is still hooked up.

no emmisions stuff is left. i even got rid of the IACV stuff. i will see whats going on with it today since its all done and ready to go again.

I had the same problem with my 1st gen eclipse bov. it started opening at about -14vac. so i crushed it until it would stay closed but then i started getting compressor surge. So i just said screw it and got a new one and recirculated it. it runs much better this way.
