ok so this a newb question and i'm ashamed to ask but here it goes. I have a stock redtop sr with the stock t25. I know that is does not have a Bov and uses a wastegate, I also know the difference between the two and how they work. I've been shopping around for a small fmic kit to clean and pretty up the engine bay. Some kits come with a Bov (this is the dumb question) I dont need a bov or want one since the stock t25 is wastegated right? Also does anyone have a link to a website for a small fmic kit? I have looked on ebay but I'm not to sure what I need excatly.thanks guys

you need to do some more research before you buy anything.

ill be nice and get you started. first off, wastegates and bov's are COMPLETELY different. stock sr's have whats called a by pass valve(BPV) and its located down by your smic. the t25 you have has an internal wastegate, which is a small flapper on the exhaust housing of the turbo, which is opened and closed via an actuator that works on vacuum pressure.

also, at stock boost your smic should be fine. if you really want to upgrade tho, you will need a fmic kit with piping(ebay is fine) plus, a bov with a flange welded onto either your hotpipe, or cold pipe.

like i said, do some more research, that way you know how to spend your money
