"Bourbon" Leather on a M45 Sport?

Hello fellas. Quick question from a noobie:

Is it possible to have a 2006 or 2007 M45 Sport model with bourbon/peanut butter leather? If so, is it only available on certain exterior colors?

I'm looking to get a 2006 or 2007 M45, but it absolutely has to be a fully loaded Sport model with a black (or to a lesser extent, white) exterior. I'm just hoping that they make these two colors with the bourbon interior...

Welcome to the forum.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think it's possible to get a sport M35/M45 with the bourbon interior. I think that was only available on the AWD versions. I think for the RWD cars only the black or stone interiors were possible.

I'm sure someone will respond to confirm or further clarify.

I have an '06 M35X which is obsidian Black with the Bourbon interior. I believe the umbria color could be ordered with bourbon leather. White, to my knowledge was not available with bourbon interior. I assume the 35/45 Sport models could have been ordered with bourbon interior although I've never seen one. Good Luck.

Not sure about the V8, but my first M was an '06 M35 Sport with the wood trim (which I believe was considered an "upgrade" and also included the Bourbon interior (leather only - seats and door/side panel trim), the rest of the interior was like other cars, carpet (black) and headliner (off white). I purchased used back in 2009, coming off a lease. It was definitely a sport model but had the bourbon interior and wood trim. I personally have not seen another SPORT come from the factory w/ the bourbon interior AND aluminum trim. However the bourbon interior was one of the reasons I liked the car as much as I did.

I've since purchased a used 09 M35 sport, black on black. The black leather in my current car is noticeably more supple and softer than the bourbon leather seats I had in my '06. I don't know if that is because of the color difference or because my current car is newer.

Meant to add, my exterior color on my '06 was also black (obsidian).

I had an M35 non-sport, obsidian black with bourbon interior. They are out there, just rare... as too many buyers were worried about a diminished resale value of something "different". Which is kinda funny because in the Maserati & BMW realm, a red or cinnamon interior is highly sought after and will command a premium at resale.

you can have bourbon on any 35 or 45 sport, base or X.
only on 06-07 models.
only on black,umbria,diamond or silver exterior colored cars.

personally, I prefer maker's mark bourbon.

My M was also and off lease car. The bourbon interior is what sold me on the M. I looked at serveral M35's but the bourbon interior with the black obsidian exterior was a knockout! Everytime someone sees my M or gets inside, the first think they comment on is the bourbon interior. The black obsidian paint is a bit** to maintain and I'm a fanatic when it comes to detail. You breath on the car and you'll find mark or a scratch. I really enjoy the M on long trips!!
