Yeah, I tried calling Vick a long time ago when I first started to look for this rim ( I am flyfishz's son). He said that he had none. Did you actually call him and get a confirmation on him have them?

Sorry, no confirmation. He's been able to bail me out when a customer was looking for a specific wheel that nobody had.. but it sounds like it's a dead end in this case.

Have you called an actual VOLK 800number yet?

On Monday when the wheel warehouses and manufacturers are in, I'll call a couple places that should give us a lead.. there's gotta be some of these wheels somewhere just collecting dust.

I have a 17x7 silver AV3 sitting in my bedroom, I was going to make a clock out of it since I have only one each of a handfull of wheels.

The only thing is, it reads 4x100. Although there's 8 mounting holes. It kinda looks like 4x100 *and* 4x114.3, but I can't tell by eye.

This wheel is brand new & has never been mounted.

What is bent on the wheel you're trying to replace? If it's just the barrel & not the center section, I could sell you the barrel & you could field replace it.

Just an idea.

If I don't respond to your response here, please e-mail me, I might forget to come back here.

Look at all known 4 lug bolt patterns. The wheel comes in no other 4 lug multi-fitments other than 4-100/4.5...

Drop a tape measure across the backside of the bolt pad and measure center-to-center distance. If it's anything other than 4-100/4.5, it'll be obvious!

Is the offset the desired +44 ??

If so, it looks like we have a winner!!

I may be able to use that wheel. VOLK do come in both 4-100 as well as 4x114.3.. I know because I have both sizes as I have been swapping wheel peices trying to complete this set...

My center hub is bent, but I am trying to get it straightened. If I am successful using your barrel would be perfect.

I was going to take it to work to measure it. I thought from looking at it before it was dual pattern, kinda stupid to make 8 holes 4x100. I know it's either one ot the other, I just didn't want to post I had it for sure until I measured it.

flyfishz, did you try 800-FIX-A-RIM? A friend who worked for Mackin had his Daytona Speeds repaired there, he's picky as hell, and was very, very pleased with their work.

Gimme a call this afternoon if you like. 800-790-1967Jason

Just to clarify, the barrel is the 'rim' part, the 'hub' is the center section.

The 'barrel' doesn't know and doesn't care what 'hub' is mounted to it, providing the backspacing or offset is the same.

My barrel is useless to me, if your hub is ok or reapirable, then there you have it.

Dont know about the hub, we think its bent abnd when we attatch a bent hub to a good barrel its gonna bend the whole system, so until we can find a good hub we have no rim... if we ever find a hub will call you for the barrel thanks a lot!

Intuition tells me it's the right wheel. If it's a multifit wheel, the two patterns on the wheel are 4x100 / 4x4.5

This wheel, if it is multifit and +44 and correct dimension width, will be the match.

I say have HD ship the wheel to you, and if I'm wrong I'll paypal you or HeavyDuty the shipping charge.

Volk would not make a multifit wheel with a 4x100 pattern and have the other pattern be anything other than 4x4.5. Over the years, I have seen thousands of multifit wheels. If it's an 8 hole wheel, meaning it's using 2 different 4 lug patterns, with one of the patterns being 4x100, the odds are GREATER than 1000:1 that the second pattern will be 4x4.5.

This is the most common patterns, and I don't envision VOLK making patterns for the Ford Tempo/Merc Topaz(4x4.25) or any other not-so-popular patterns.(4-4 mopar from the '70's, 4-130 for old subaru, etc...)

If you don't buy the wheel, I'll buy it from HD, then sell it to you and seek to collect my $50 finders fee....

If it's as he says it is, then I am convinced. All other variables have been covered and to me the pattern is a no-brainer. Seen too many of it, and not any of anything else for it not to be correct.

He usually finds wheels nobody else can, bails people out when they're in a bind, takes time to look up stuff because others are too lazy to do it themselves, and is generally a good salesman. What did you have in mind, sicko!
