Bouncy, and downright Silly idle in my KA24de s13...

I recently purchased an S13 dohc and am looking to fix a small and silly idle problem I am having. When the car Idles, it usually sits between 500 - 900RPM, but it fluctuates sometimes, quite quickly within that range. After sitting for a while, the idle seems to smoth out, but after revving the motor, or putting in the clutch while moving, the chance of the idle becoming bouncy increases dramatically. Along with the idle issue, I am feeling a tad bit of lumpiness to the motor's acceleration when below 3krpms.

I removed the AIV system completely today, and that took care of alot of my low RPM issues, but those listed above are still there, although not quite as bad.

I plan on checking the PCVs and Coolant Temp Sender today....

Any ideas?

How old is your fuel filter? sometime old ones have a tendency to do weird things to the rpms. I changed my really old stock filter and replaced it with a 300zx one, and it smoothed out my rmps over the whole range.

thats what I was suspecting actually. Im gonna throw in a Fuel Filter tommorow and see what happens.

I have also noticed that when cruising at a constant speed in the 2-3krpm range the car seems to jerk and stumble a little bit. Not alot, but it is noticeable.
