hey, I have the same problem now. Before...my idle stable at 1500 for start-up, after i loossen pull all 4 screws at the maf plug to see inside. I put it back on, I notice the idle is bouncing for start up. after it gets hot, it stable at arounf 1500 and after driving for 30 minutes to 1 hour the idle is drop to 1000 rpm....I'm very sure it's either my maf or my timming, I just turn the CAS with out the timming gun, i will have to turn it down to see what happen....

If you get your solve, let me know.......

You might want to check your coolant temperature sensor. My RB25 had an idle issue that seemed exactly like a vacuum leak but I couldn't figure it out after spending endless nights trying to find the "leak." As it turns out, the sensor was making intermittent contact and once I fixed it, it idles like a champ!
