i couldn't pass this offer up. i live in maine where rust plagues 240's. well i found a rust free 90 hatch. $500 with a blown head gasket. it's 5sp with 85,000 on the chassis. well i'm in luck cause i can pull a dohc motor from a rotted car i have. plans will be to make this my track car, dohc ka-t, body kit, rims, coilovers, cage, racing seats, steering wheel, alm driveshaft, 2 way diff, add support everywhere, blah blah blah... plan to be done by spring. i know you guys are going to kill me. btw i have 4 coupes 2 at my house and two at my shop, and this is my first hatch.

look at this bushing

well i have a ton of parts for the s13 that i can bolt right on. i would love an s14 but then i would have to start fresh with alot of expensive parts.

i got screwed out of spending $250 on this one, but i'm still perfectly happy with it. to be honest i would have spent up to $1500 for such a rust free shell.

naw, i love coupes. i just couldn't pass this car up.

it will be alot of work to get this car where i want it. i just ordered $200 in metal, but i'll probably need more.

to remove that hard tacky tar crap from the body, it hardens it more so it's easier to chizle out

Dry ice is good for anything sticky and gooey like sound deadeners and the like. Throw a bit on and get a plastic scraper and go to town!

Good buy by the way!

wow nice 240! low miles, rust free, clean all for 500. I almost got a s13 convertible for 100 bucks but the dude sold it to the junk yard and now the yard wants and arm and a leg for it.

so a little update. i've been busy building this car and i changed a lot of plans.

fully stripped every nut and bolt off the car. and rebuilt. still not done. some friends and i just put the motor in last night.

learned how to weld, and tack welded everything

built my own power brace and other braces

picked up an sr20

some friends and i put in 264-272 BC cams, BC valve springs, valve seals, 550 cc inj

heat wrapped the mani and cleaned everything

i learned how to shoot paint out of a gun

replaced a crap ton of bushings

still waiting on the other 2 rear sus components. even have braided brake lines in there.

black interior

my friend built me a seat bracket.

filled and welded nismo motor mounts

installed exedy stage 2 clutch, and some other goodies in. just dropped the motor in last night

valve cover and pulleys came in this morning from powdercoat.

thanks, i actually didn't take a class, a buddy taught me. i watched him weld for about 30 min and then took the welder from him. then i welded the rest of the car. anything related to safety, such as the seat bracket and rails, i handed over.

i did get the other two rear suspension arms today!! my friend scott installed them, but i'm going new bolt hunting tomorrow cause the stock ones are not going to cut it.

also re-pulled the rear diff, my friend jeremy installed my high pressure power steering line. and i was focusing on wiring and other things.

i plan on running a welded diff for the initial build the the next thing i save for would be a 2 way.

i'm building the whole car's wire harness from scratch. i already have the back harness built and ran, just need to hook it up.

i do plan on fabbing a 4 pt roll cage with diagonals and seat harness bar.
