Well actually my sister bought a !991 Q45 from a tow yard for $200. Notice air cleaner box was gone and rubber boot going to plenum. Found need both item and that MAF was needed also. another $200 dollars had those partand 2 side marker lights. Car run ok has to larger hoses to top and bottom of rubber intake that need to order so should have a vaccum leak but wont idle by itself. I see from reading post these cars have trouble with MAF. I'll try cleaning with CRC to verify if one we purchased was any good. There is a relay box(or something ?)mounted on the passenger strut tower that was missing also. It has about a 8 pin plug and mounts with 2 10mm bolts on strut tower between firewall. I was wondering what is it? I'm going to change the oil, flush brake fluid, antifreeze, new plugs and power steering fluid. Will try trans fluid later. I'd did realize all options on this car always had vettes myself. active suspension and has a v-8. still locking for a owners manuel to try to get more info. sorry for long post. thanks for any info.

Do you have an update? How is your ACTIVE suspension working?

If you don't have one or haven't already done so, download the Factory Service Manual from the following link. It's for a 1994, but is still very helpful:http://www.phatg20.net/modules...id=62

You have lots of reading to do to learn how to bring your car back to the living.

Try to read all posts by Q45tech and TexasOil. Then after studying the FSM and TSB you will be able to proceed with the correct repairs and parts.

Absolutely, that could be the reason the car was there to begin with.

bought all parts for intake from junk yard(oh excuse me automotive recycling yard) for about $200.00 got it running ok. she had a shop to tune it up. and took it to one smog shop and they thought dual exhaust was after market and didn't want to smog it. she went to another and it passed with no problem. she's been using it as a daily driver to work. Moving on to active suspension now. it'll ride smooth no problems and them all of a sudden give a harsh ride and them smmoth out again. I'm learning about the suspension system and accumulators now to decide if they need to be recharged or if air is in system and need to bleed it. I post an update sooner next time. There is someone in Texas she's been getting info from on the suspension.
