So I got a 2003 M45, instead of the Mercedes E430 Sport. It just seems more solid. I was a bit dissapointed however when I got to the dealer and found out that it didn't have heated seats (don't know if I'm able to add t hemas after market..) as they and everyone else had said. Problem was that I'm in El Paso, 650 miles away from Dallas, wherethe car was... I flew there yesterday and drove it back all last night, so now it has 60,000 I put about 700 on it.. IT drove amazing, sounds great and I just love it. I wonder if I have to go get it serviced since now I just hit the 60k this morning. My only other gripe was/ is thatstupid dealer put a spoiler on it, which I'm not a fan on, especially not on a big car with a unique looking ***.. Anyways, I figure either I can get another trunk and replace it, or maybe a body shop can take it off and fix whatever holes the spoiler leaves. I wanna buy some wax and good leather cleaner/ protectant now and clean it really good! It's Diamond Graphite on Black with the orangish looking wood trim.

cool. Enjoy the car, it's a blast. The heated seats are nice, but not a deal breaker, you wont miss em.

How much did you pay if you don't mind?

$16,995 I think I'm like the only one with one in El Paso, so it's even nicer.

I actually paid the asking price, because I wasn't able to haggle well from long distance, but I bet at best I would've gotten 200 - 300 less than the asking. I got it from Concord Autoplex. There's a couple of other lots that have M45's in Dallas for a good price. I think about 18,500 or so if you look through autotrader.

Greetings and Welcome,Those are amazing prices for so much car. Mindovermatter, I would caution that just because you are paying Dodge Neon prices, the cost of optimally running a 50k car are not. I reckon given your final choices of this or an E430 you are well aware. The 03-04 M45 is absolutely one of the best preowned values going. I suppose more than anything, getting an extended warranty is a must. Preferably through Infiniti. You are going to love your car and I hope you get your spoiler issue resolved soon. Jflo, that is a killer price with that few miles. You might want to get the vin and call the dealer to look into the history of the car. It is awesome to have new peeps to our very small community.Cheers,M.L

Yes, I do realize that maintining my M45 will be much higher, than regularcars, but it's well worth it. I'm so happy with my purchase so far though, it feels very smooth. I don't know if it would be better to find another trunk lid and replace the one I have completely or remove the spoiler and have a body shop patch up the holes...

Oh and I love the Diamond Graphite on Black color scheme. Originally I wanted black on black, but this will be easier to keep clean and looks great.I think it's the best other than black on black IMHO.

Excellent advice!

Things generally do not go wrong, but, in today's modern "electronicized" cars and complex mechanical parts, when something fails, the cost to repair/replace is steep. Things like thousands of dollars for replacing dead NAV electronics or a dead transmission comes to mind!

It is way better to spend some money (costs about $1700 to $2000 for an Extended warranty) up front. Can be good insurance.

The dealership's service department can tell you the history of the maintencance that's been done, so you can know if it's had any major problems. The place I bought my M45 offered me an extended warranty for $1100 (36 months), so I will probably get that, as long as I can take it to Infiniti for repairs, which I think most ext. warr. allow.

I ran across an aftermarket part to add heat to seats. I don't have any experience with this, but it might be an option for you.

Remember to keep the leather well cleaned and conditioned when you have heated seats. Regular Lexol conditioner (use the cleaner too) applications are a must!!!

Else, it is too easy to dry it out and crack prematurely.

Hello,Before agreeing to the extended warranty offered by the dealer, I would call your local Infiniti dealership just to make sure that it will be honored there as well. Congrats again and welcome.Cheers,Mark
