It's not very fast and throttle response is a little laggy, but it's still pretty fun. Looks pretty good in orange. Could have gotten AWD but you all know how I feel about that...

For some reason, a lot of the newer Husqvarna mowers are AWD. Really weird; I can't quite fathom the benefit for a non-riding mower. Weirder still, some AWD models have different-diameter front and rear wheels while others run the same size on both ends. Still, it's better than FWD like cheapo store brand mowers, I guess (worse for a mower than for a car if you ask me). I opted for RWD instead.

I bought a similar model this year. Forgot to put in the gas treatment, and had to pull the carburator and clean it after the first two mowings. Kicking myself. Runs great now, though -- better than any other mower I have ever had. No more Briggs and Stratton crap for me.

I've only ever owned FWD mowers. How does it do the 180s? With FWD mowers I pivot on the back wheels

just disengage the drive and pivot like normal.

the only "problem" i had with rwd mowers was going up short steep inclines. they always wanted to do wheelies when i wasn't paying attention and didn't back off the "throttle".

update: i killed that honda mower. quite a while ago actually. i wasn't paying attention one day, hit an exposed root and the crank went bye bye. the other night, i was given another honda. i guess you can call it rwd. behold:

the worst part of it (some paint missing)

purchased by the original owner back in '86, always serviced by some small engine repair place, brand new tires. last night i changed the oil, installed a new spark plug, hit a few spots with some wd-40, ordered a new air filter (it's not in there for some reason, and i could only find it online). it started up on the first half-assed pull, and after warm up, i opened the choke throttled down, it purred like a kitten. vtec hits at 5500prm and it pulls hard all the way to 9k before falling on its face. i'll run it as is for the season, but i think i might swap out the single cam head for a dual cam ls head.

I hope you don't forget to upgrade the brakes when you add the power.

Man, thats probably the best condition I've ever seen a 29 year old, well loved, snow blower in.
