Alright so today i went and picked up a 1990 nissan 300zx tt. Its a dark blue and was originally an auto N/A. The guy who had the engine swapped in had all of the work done at Ultimate Z in Chicago. The body of the car has 90,000 miles but the engine only has about 40,000. The body could use some work to it but its nothing i cant do. All it needs is a new clutch and it should be set to go. Picked it up for $6k. The guy also threw in the stock z wheels with tires. Did i do good?

So far its got:
18" Konig wheels with falken tires
OEM T25 turbos
JWT chipped ECU
Dual K&N intakes
Full Greddy exhaust
Greddy Turbo Timer
Bigger turbo manifolds/downpipes (havent looked at what brand yet)

On to the pictures!

good buy from what i can see! how does she pull? congrats on the first Z. also, have your mechanic look it over and make sure everything works when you take it in for the 60k service.

The guy who i bought it from spray painted the dash and the top parts of the door panels (you can literally scratch off the paint)

Here you go

oooofff i can see why you dont like it. you need to get your buddies who did the pint to help you with the interior. there are a bunch of kits out there for redoing the interior with all the pieces cut and ready to install including seat covers and steering wheel covers. you should look into . seeing how nice the paint is now

defintely redo the interior. the blue needs to be fixed. keep the color, but maybe a different stitching on the leather? with blue shift & e-brake boots would be sick. otherwise, i love it. keep her clean!

One thing that pops out at me is the front bumper...

How is he still running the NA bumper with the TT conversion... I have seen people do it before but they cut out the slots for the IC's.

When you say it has a boost leak are you sure its actually a leak or is it in "saftey boost" because it's was detonating due to the air not being properly intercooled??

It has a big fmic on it instead of side mounts. Also, the vacuum line to the boost gauge is just pushed it there and has fallen out.. Not good. this weekend i'm most likely going to go through the whole intake and intercooler system to check for leaks

that could be part of your problem. I've heard that FMIC's and boost leaks are like PB&J when not done properly. make sure all the couplers and things are as tight as you can get them without crushing whatever they're on.

Yeah yesterday i went through and tightened them all up because a couple of them were a little loose. H1Tman your interior is really clean and that kind of does make me like the blue!
