Its really not that hard, but I don't know how mechanically inclined you are.

You need spring compressors (rent them at autozone), a ratchet or air gun, I think 17mm 14mm and 12mm sockets, and a 17mm box wrench. I beleive that all you need. Oh and a jack and some jack stands and maybe like 2-6 hours of your time depending on how many problems you run into

A spring compressor isnt hard to use but someone has to say it, You can really **** yourself up with a spring compressor if youve never used one before. I would suggest having someone around with some suspension tech experience with you if any of your friends or family are inclined. If your careful and take your time you should be fine though, so don't let that scare you off. Other alternative is to bring the spring and shock setup to your mechanic, local dirt bike shop, or chained break and suspsnsion shop. They should all have the proper equiptment to mount the springs for you. Oh yeah a FSM would be of great help to you with it too, there should be one floating around here in PDF format. someone had it in there sig for a wile

**** the spring compressor, you dont need it, just use a towel to catch the parts and let that **** shoot out.

i dont trust those little clamp spring compressors, if you're gonna use one, use a big floor stand model.

and an impact gun isn't necessary, just helps if you're lazy

I would not recommend that towel technique. I have just done a suspension with the spring compressors and if your not careful youll take your hand off. Put on the compressor real tight and dont use fingers to take off bolts cus youll hurt yourself. I had found this that helped out. its on a 95 but same process.

go slow be careful.

Yeah the top pieces they should know what they need. Even though you should replace with new parts that is what is recommended. Especially if your front strut bearings dont spin properly.

I think your looking too hard into this, its really simple once you actually see it in person. If my mechanically challenged 16 year old brother can throw on lowering springs I'm preetty sure you wont have any problems
