Bought + forgot valve seals years ago, still useable?

I planned to do the seals on my 240 about 5 yrs ago, but then got caught up with my divorce, the car sat in my garage rarely driven for quite a while.

The seals are still in the plastic bag they came from the dealer, I am wondering if they are now probably dried out and brittle, and should I buy new ones?

they prob sat in storage since 92 at the dealership, i think you will be alright. i dont think they cost very much if you need to buy new for peice of mind tho.

Well they're only $4-5 each but there are 16 of them so it will be a little bit of an investment - I am thinkng with all 16 of them sealed into a little plastic bag, there couldn't have been too much oxidation.
