Hey there, I bought a set of Rear Altezza Tail Lights for my V off eBay from the Seller cosmodynamic. As expected, when I received them the light bulb connectors did not fit properly. But that is the only hitch! I live in Newfoundland, Canada. After all the rain that has hit, and endless car washes, I have yet to see any sign of condensation or water build up in these lights, and in my opinion, these lights are made of high quality material. The shipping materials used was greatly packed and I couldnt ask for anything better!
Since I have the first year Auto. Technician Course and have been mechanically inclined since I was young, and also have been a mechanic for the last 5 years, I was able to custom fit these connectors into the socket and now I can do a light bulb change in both tail lights in less than 10 minutes, and yes thats taking them off changing the bulbs and putting the lights back on. You just have to be mechanically inclined to do any modifications.
When I see people asking for help for this or that, I ask myself one question. If you cant properly install a strut tower brace, struts and lowering kits, tail lights and cold air intakes properly, you shouldn't be doing it at all. When I installed my Fujita CAI, it took me 1 1/2 hours from the time I got my tool box ready to the time I closed it, and that was taking the front bumper off and carefully installing and modifying the position of where I wanted the intake to sit. I have no vibration or clanging noises cause I used my common sense as to what will clang and vibrate when I drive the car. Just takes know how, experience and mechanical inclinage. And by the way did I tell you I did it all in my driveway without a jack?
Yeah, the tail lights are installed correctly and working like a charm, pictures will be up soon. Gotta go for another carwash, water and dirt dont make a new car look good.
