OK, So as the title states I bought a s13 sr20det complete with wiring harness, air condenser and transmission for $2500(+$500 for a t3/t4 ball baring turbo) for my 1990 pig nose. I know It should be relatively easy swap. My question is this. Other then Doing a tune up (all new fluids and gaskets) and Relocating the battery to my trunk to fit the turbo piping, upgrading the Injectors and fuel pump (because I'm getting a t3/t4 ball baring turbo), and tuning the fuel mapping. What else should I and can I do to make this swap as painless as possible? past problems that you experienced?

thanks in advance for any positive comments!

1) Do lots of research. 2) Then research more.

If it was an automatic then you need to get the MT master cylinder to fit the T3/T4.

ah i'd say replace the clutch before it goes in...not the greatest to do with the engine already in..but it can be done. also, figure out what you're doing with your heater hoses, other then that just read and read lol. its a pretty simple swap

When you swap out the old hoses with new ones, make sure you tighten everything. Check then recheck to help minimize the leaks you'll have!

i read that i could swap out the stock injectors and fuel filter for z32 ones. would I have to modify anything to do that?

The heater hoses are the ones that run from the radiator to the engine right? I also read that my koyorad radiator and apc hoses can hook up to the redtop without much work. Is that correct?

I read your write up Posi. It is very informative, thank you. I'll be using it as my guide!

You already sound in too deep ha. heater hoses are at the back of the engine very close to the firewall and connect to heatercore, they can be a ***** to change with the engine already in. i would know lol

You can swap out the Z32 fuel filter but I'm not sure about the injectors. Is it a USDM Koyo rad, if so, you just have to reroute the top hose across to the other side no problem.

posi its a usdm koyo rad. ok cool thanks for that info.

oh and I've decided on a name for my build. "Pig Mischief" anyone know if that build name is taken yet? lol

another question. are the z32 non turbo fuel injectors a higher flowing injector or is it the same as the sr20 stock injectors?

The 300zx injectors that are the black plugs are a higher flow rate, where as the purple plugs are the same as the sr (370 i believe). Plus, since you got the koyo for the USDM and not the JDM I got the usdm rad hose kit to re route it to the sr motor for sale if you want. Email me at [email protected] It's the upper hose (crossover and all) and the lower hose with clamps. I used it for like 10 minutes. Then bought a new radiator .

yea my belt pop'd and i got use to it but it's one of those things that make you enjoy your car more. i fixed mine fell inlove with being able to burn out a parking space again lol. those lines don't work for the sr so you'd need to get the system from the kouki but the fewer belts you have, the more power lol shoulders and motor
