so I have a base model 93 king cab. I just picked up a 1987 nissan king cab, fully loaded, auto, 2wd, V6, with a Nissan cap on it.What should I start swapping to my truck that would be fairly easy? I'm starting with the carpet, then I think I will test fit the cap, but it's very tall and will probably look odd. I think I will also take the all orange corner lights. What else should I start taking out? one power mirror is broken, so that cant really be used. but it has power locks, power windows, command start, a decent sony deck I will be taking out. I'm just looking for a good order to do this in so I'm not all over the place tearing this truck apart.

Also is there a good write-up around about swapping in that V6 to my 4 cyl and leaving my truck standard?

anyone got any info on this V6 swap? So far I have moved over the carpet, the stereo, and 2 6.5" speakers that were mounted by the back seats.

how bout some pics?

On the trans I am not sure the VG bolts to z24/ka24 trans and vice versa.

Both are fuel injected?

You'll have to take the transmission, ECU, and wiring harness from the other truck to make it work.

Here that swap would not be legal because you're swapping in an older model's drivetrain into a newer model, but I'm not sure what your laws are up there around emissions, etc.

I will have to get some in a few days. They are both fuel injected. If it requires that much swapped over, and the auto trans is blown, it's not worth it. It could be done though we dont have to follow emissions in Canada. Not Manitoba anyways.

Another question, what I might do is just get the truck driving, take it to the sand pits and just rip around and have some fun for a day. The trans doesnt go anywhere in reverse, and it's sluggish in drive. I dont think we tried any other forward gear selections. The fluid is also quite dark. Would there be any cheap fix for this? I just need the trans to last a few hours for some fun haha. I'm sure reverse is probably long gone, but that's fine.
