Bought a New Convertible 240sx, runs great, but....

so i went out and bought this 93 nissan 240sx convertible with black on black and grey interior..eww i know....but 600 bucks and had a new rack and pinion put in for 425. anyways..changed the cap, rotor, oil , oilfilter, kn air, wires ,plugs, flushed the coolant and the car runs great. anyways..i was driving down the road, and the battery died, so i pushed it to the side of the road.. i dropped my fully charged optima battery in the car. but it didnt work, the car just turned over and over but woundnt catch im getting spark at all cylinders too. 1 out of 10 times it will catch for a second then die...after about 20 min of trying to start it, it just started up...and ran great. the car then runs great for 2 days. today i tried to start it and it wouldnt start it was doing the same thing, turning over but not catching. luckily im a manager at parts store and i was at work. so i tried a new coil pack and a new tempeture sensor only because those were the parts we had in stock, both to no avail. i was about to call a tow truck, so i left it alone, came back 3 hours later, tried to start it and it cranked right up, and now im home...my friend says its the ignition switch.im really lost..any help guys...

How worn out is your key. When I bought mine my key was so worn it acted like it didn't want to seat in the ignition right sometimes. I went and got some new keys cut and it works now every time. I would start with the simple things first.
