So today I found, and took a 1991 240SX out for a test drive. Beutiful blue, Super Hicas setup, and grey leather interior. No rust, no dents, runs awesome, and I got it for $1500 CAD! I'm guessing this is a good deal, what do ya'll think?

Sounds great, as long as you think its worth it, than its worth it.

But if you ever plan on drifting or autocrossing to any serious extent the Super Hicas will hinder you.

I don't plan on racing this car by any means except fora few runs down the track if I ever do any performance mods to it. I just wanted a decent everyday car for once. I had a 1988 Mx6 before this boy. I do however plan on buying a 1994 240 someday and spend a bit of real time and money on that, but that wont hnappen till next fall. Mmmmm, having a bit of cash is a nice thing for sure.

I'll have pics up in a few weeks wehn i get my new digital cam. Right now I got nothing to click with.

Oh, and what would it cost to swap the engine for a DOHC engine? Just wondering cus I know I'll want a bit more power later.

And I will be enjoying her, its been years that I've been lusting after one of these. Me a happy man.

and also, the car needs brakes, how much do a decent set for all four wheels go for? CAD prices prefered.

Good price especially in Cdn dollars. BTW, your car already has a DOHC engine. Where are in Canada?

I live near London Ontario. And I thought only the 94's and newer had the DOHC's.... well, I guess that makes me a newbie.

I'm such a loser... although with a sweet ride.

I feel even better. I haven't even look at the car much, my father ended up picking it up for me. He checked it over while I was working and had it at home when I got there. Trust the good ole familyto help each other out. Thanks guys for the info and help on stuff.

No problem man. Good luck with your project! I've been looking for nearly a year now but can't afford one for at least another half year.

The elusive base model S13 coupe is my goal. Prices in Victoria, BC are outrageous but I still have hope.

I wish people would quit disabling the HICAS. Its a rare option. If you dont want hicas, buy a different 240sx. I love the hicas on my 300zx, and I would love to have a hicas 240sx.
