Like the title says, paid $400.00 bucks for it, A/C works, drove pretty good but has a miss, needs lots of cleaning, a diff mount ?, a valve cover gasket, and gotta figure out the miss. The girl I got it from had replaced some of the injectors with El Cheapo ones some I think that is where the miss is, but I also know that the early 300's had cheap connectors and they would cut the car off just by wiggling them, so I am going to start with cleaning all the fuel inj connectors, then measure the OHMs on each injector. Any other suggestions ?

Congratulations and Welcome to NICO! Leaking valve covers on cyls 1 and 2 can fill the plug well with oil. Here's a recent thread on how I diagnosed my injector problem

Where are you located? Once I get mine back together -- I might be able to help another owner with the chain guide job. It really isn't that bad of a job -- with the right tools..

If your not familar with guide problem that is probably the most important thing for you to consider. They are made of plastic, you should try to find out if the issue has ever been dealth with before. Take it to an Infiniti dealership and have them run the VIN, you might need to call customer service if the records are not longer on file. If this fails your car is toast.

If you decide to ignore it then I'd put very little money into it, limp/drive it until it explodes and hope donate to charity for a $500 write-off.

Hey found out the guides have already been done and the miss was oil down in the spark plug tube so I have already removed the pass side valve cover and I am getting ready to reseal it tonight. The rest of it seems pretty good I think I got a good deal ! I have worked on cars, mostly Nissan and primarily Datsun Z's since 1990 so I have a good idea what I am doing. The car needs a driver front fender a hood and a bumper cover other than that the body and paint is really nice.
