IMHO, the 97-98 240's only look good if they have the front end "lip spoiler" thing. whatever the technical name for it is. thats why i have a '95 sittin in the garage:D but the 97-98's are sweet. but its your car, so i'll shut up. :) but you can find parts (aftermarket if thats what you want) at all kinds of places. just search the web. there are too many, i can't begin to name any. well the truth is i'm having a brain fart and can't remember what these 2 sites are that i go to all the time. sorry. i'm an idiot:bonghit

bro, I hate t osay it, but the front end for the 97-98 s14 are VERY hard to find. I've been looking for that front end to put on my '95 for about 2 weeks now! I did find the lights, not sure where but I'll put up my links

http://www.autobodypartsonline.com/

I think your best bet, as much as I hate to say it, is the dealer. Damn, if you posted last week, I could have sent you the link where I found the lights and bumper. Sorry, but I looked so hard I can't remember where. Hey, do me a favor, if you see a conversion kit for the 95 s14 to 97 s14a front end, let me know. I know its out there, just don't know where

hope that helps

see I had a little less damage to the frame than you...and you could have got a 95-96 240 and stuck 97-98 head lights on it...you have to replace them on your car anyway.

I've found the whole 97-98 front end before...it wasn't too hard to find actually. True the parts were used but hell they are a lot cheaper than the dealer. How much do you have to spend on the conversion?

Well, I found the s15 conversion kit for $2500 USD, so I figure the S14a should be about $1500 USD, which I belive I can come up with, hopefully less though. Hey, if you happen to come accross another 97 front end, let me know please. I need one asap, thanks

LOL, i'm awake from it now. i don't know where to find an aftermarket front end, front spoiler, or anything for the s14a's, since i don't have an s14a:) i was talkin to a guy on the old forum about how the s14a's look alot better with the front spoiler. and he agreed, so like the next day he went and bought one from the dealer. those OEM spoilers look pretty good. but since you need a new front end anyway, might as well find aftermarket crap. sorry i didn't know anything:)

are 97 parts interchangable with 98 model? I thought hey were, but the other day I noticed that the 97 fender had a turn signal on it

For now i'm going to replace the driver's air bag and just patch the passenger panel. You can use a heat gun to glue the joints, otherwise i beleive you need to replace the dashboard to fix the passenger side.

does anyone have a picture of the 98 front with and without chin spoiler??

Wussup people? I have been reading this board for the last couple of months but have just decided to register. Well anyways, my car has similar damage to Maxpower's 240 but just a little bit less, mostly on the passenger side. Do you guys think the insurance company will consider my car a total lost (my car is 97 with 112K on it)? Im really scare. Would an S15 conversion "kit" from Dauntless do the job or do I need to scavage for more parts? How much would a little frame straightening run? Thanks in advance for your guys' input.

First thing is check to see if the frame is straight. If you need help email me [email protected]

Insurance companies suck. Did you get any estimates yet? Post some detailed pics of teh damage...

oh and my car is all done...right now it's sitting in my driveway awaiting paperwork. Here are some pictures...the "before" pics are on page 1 of this thread.

I dont have a digital camera so I guess I cant take pics. My friends might have one, but I doubt it. Im really pissed about this wreck because I just got my car painted like a couple of months ago, yellow with red pearl. Oh one more thing, Im planing on swapping to the SR20DET engine, should I just get the front clip since some places said they have body panels with it? Thanks

What they do is...pull everything out according to spec**. As you're pulling it out the end pieces get a little torn up, so the guy has to be carefull. From what I hear, nissan frames are good to work with; wv on the other hand, crack like little whores when pulled. Anyway, if the damage wasn;t that bad you can keep the old frame...in my case the front wheel shifted about an inch toward the rear. So, after he pulled it out I took a ride to jersey and had them chop me off a new frame piece off a 97 s14 and bring it back to the guy who would solder it on. sounds simple :)

**They have manuals to reffer to for dimensions, measre, emts and such. If this is a ghetto chop shop, they'll just go by the looks of it (usually works out ok). Also, when i say frame I'm only reffering to the front portion of one of the pillars.

here's my car with fixed frame and new radiator support. The twsited up fender support was also chopped off the other s14 in jersey.

Money isn't the only factor! Even though I recently turned 20 I've already grown a few grey hairs after buying this car and going through with all the repairs. Now the car sits in my driveway waiting for a new title from DMV. (thanks to witty accountants :) )
