Well its pretty obvious you don't know what your doing when you buy a car thats not running for $1000, my buddy just bought a 1993 240 w/ 120K miles running perfect for $1500, try shoppin around next time. but to answer your question i'd say a rebuild is too expensive when you can get an SR20det for around $1400 w/ everything you need.

The cheapest way would be to buy a used KA to replace the blown one.

If it doesn't have a hole in the side of the block than find out what the problem is. You may get lucky and just need a headgasket or something small. Not likely but ya never know. This would also be a good time to be-friend a decent mechanic.

i would defanetly go with another KA. They are really cheap and if you are mechanically inclined it is a fairly easily swap.. a buddy of mine and me did it with not much experience with 240s.

yeah a Sr20 motor would be cheap but i dont think you would know how to swap it in and it costs around 2 grand for some one else to do it

i would do the Ka and it would be cheaper all the way around

maybe pretty postive

do that shopping around thing WildKarrde told you about and it might work out pretty good
