I bought a 1992 240sx LE coupe with 130,000 miles on it 15 months ago...No mods have been done, and the body is looking a little rough, naturally... Lots of small dents and some rust around sunroof and wheel wells.
I've got it up to 150,000 miles now and have been getting around 20mpg... not great, but I am fairly lead-footed, especially when accelerating!
I love this car, I have had NO problems with it despite its high mileage (gotta love Nissans!) and was starting to save up to start giving this car the attention it deserves... Unfortunately, we had a setback last week.
Car crapped out on me on the way home from work.... Fuel Pump AND fuel sending unit are shot... Anyone else have similar experience? it's going to cost quite a bit to fix up!
Also, speedo has been inconsistent lately... sometimes stops working, or reads much lower than actual speed... revving the engine usually pops the speedo back up to a more acurate level. Some days it works great, other days its terrible... Also think trip-o-meter and total mile meter is being affected by this (which fortunately makes my car look like it has less miles on it than it actually does)!
I don't ever want a different car... Cars were only meant for one person anyways right?
