This afternoon while driving, I pulled into a parking lot and bottomed out. There are two metal pieces jutting out on either side of the front underneath of the car. One of these pieces got bent. Should I be worried about this or will it not affect anything?

no i do not have a picture, but they look like upside down "U" pieces. but the one on the right side is just flared out on the edges. I do not know if this helps.

I know you got a cellphone, and 95% of cells out there has a camera phone, at least use it to post pics so that members can better help you.

well thanks for the statistics, but I do not have a way to take a picture right now. I would just appreciate any help. Does anyone know what purpose these pieces serve?

You should be fine. I think those 2 U shaped things are for when you get stuck like in mud and need to get pulled out. You can attach hooks to them.

Mine are bent on both sides and nothing wrong so far. I think you'll be ok.

I appreciate everyones input. I will just chalk it up as something that cant be avoided and need not be fixed. Any more input would be greatly appreciated as well.....

Thanks, Brandon
