First of all, I'd like to say that I don't know much about anything turbo related, but in a few weeks I will most likely be the owner of an SR T25. I've done some research on what I would need to boost the KA, and I have slowly started making a list of parts, which leads me to my question. Apparently, there are no turbo downpipes made for the KA-T, but supposedly the SR downpipes will work, as long as a bottom-mount turbo manifold is used. I should be able to obtain an SR downpipe easily, so I'd like to know who makes a bottom-mount manifold for the KA. Are there any preferred companies, and should I stay away from Ebay manifolds? Thanks for any information.

I have a top mount mani and use the sr megan racing downpipe. I have a downpipe from turbo that mates to the sr downpipe. If youy prep the ebay SSAC it will last. But after the headache of prepping it why not get a quality one to begin with?I will never let ssac next to my car.

if you've seen the new bottom mount SSAC manifold in person, you'd change your mind.. they're pretty beefy now. I'm deffinatly going with one on my s14 next year. that will allow use of all SR parts, such as turbo, downpipe, i/c piping etc..

I've been using an SSAC bottom-mount turbo header with a T28 ball-bearing snail, an XS-Power divorced dump-pipe, and an XS-Power down-pipe for over a year with absolutely no problems. The parts I have are pretty beefy with really nice welds on them. Everything bolted on easily, except the down-pipe; since it's for SRs I had to extend it about 2 inches.

If you can afford better brand parts, then by all means buy them, but I can tell you from my own experience that I was very satisfied with the parts I got.

I was going to use there manifolds when I was going into bussiness a few years ago. The bottom mount was definitly nicer then the top mount POS. The top mount is awful, the collector sucks, there were weld boogers all over it...which will ruin not just the turbo.

I decided to not use either because the Bottom mount is for T2 flange turbo's only, I didn't want to sell a turbo kit that I didn't want to run myself.

Where does this go...I'd use a bottom mount for a low boost setup. If it cracks, just reweld it. Hell I'll reweld it for you if you pay shipping.
