ok, so ive got a s13 blacktop in my 240sx but theres a knocking noise coming from the bottom/front of the motor...i plan to rebuild the bottom end but ive been told 2 different ways to go about it. one person said to raise the compression and run less boost in the long run and another person told me to lower the compression and raise the boost in the long run. i dont want any insane power...maybe 250 rwhp for now but later on im sure i'll want more power. i really want a dependable car because its going to be my daily driver. any info or opinions would help

rebuild it back to original specs.

btw, slap whoever told you to drop your compression ratio. anything lower than the factory 8.5:1 is ridiculous.
