ok im rebuilding my sr20 blacktop.... im not sure which way the main caps go on.... the bearings have little tabs on them that sit in the cap as u all know....but im not sure if the bottom bearings and top bearings are supposed to have the tabs oposite of eachother or touching eachother. The reason im asking is becuase it only wants to fit one way and idk if its correct.

sorry for being confusing but hopefully sum1 will understand it.

Ok, you see the number on the side of the cap and on the block it self? They should be on the same side.

I think I might have told you an incorrect information.

I am trying to remember from my rebuild. Now that I think about it... I think they are on the same side but is offset from eachother a little bit.

But I am 100% sure that the number of the bearing cap and on the block should be on the same side.

I am sorry for the mistake.

no problem. ill check everything 2morro. Im almost positive that i have it correct though because it REALLY didnt want to go the other way. if you look at the motor from the back ...as in the back flywheel side is at your stomach then all the numbers on the caps are on your left...same side as the oil squirters. hopefully that is correct.
