Wait, are you saying the Bose amp isn't a real amplifier?
Just kidding. Doc is right on with this one. If you were to try to push any normal amount of power (required for an aftermarket amp) through the factory power/ground, you'd melt the crap out of those wires nearly instantly. That would result in a short somewhere and could potentially cause a fire. Also, before the wire completely melted, the amp would be starved for power and would make the subs sound like crap. If you wanted to try to use the Bose amp to power an actual subwoofer, that wouldn't work either. The Bose amp will not push anywhere near close to enough power for a real subwoofer.
I know the idea of running power/ground through your car may seem like a daunting task, but with the help of everyone on these forums I have complete confidence that you can do it (and do it well). It may be time consuming, but I certainly wouldn't call it difficult. You just have to like tinkering a bit!
