I have a 03 350z and my sub amp is failing on me. Seems to be overheating and starts cutting out randomly. I don't really want to go through Nissan they quoted me about $400 which seems a bit pricy for a sub amp. I've seen some on Ebay way cheaper than Nissan, but I don't think they are from a 03. My question is are all 350z bose sub amps interchangeable? Thanks for the help.

My guess is that any amp from a 350z would be the same. They all operate at a different ohm level than regular car amps, so you couldn't use say an alpine, boston, etc amp. But I think but any bose amp from a 350z should work.

I don't know if you are thinking of going down this route but this could be the perfect time to look into aftermarket stereos. It'll offer a much better sound quality but its the pricey route. But if you were thinking about going down that route eventually, why not do it at a time when you have to change the parts out anyways

Thanks for the help. Yeah I'm probably going to stick with the Bose even with all the complaints I hear about it. Honestly the sound quality doesn't seem too bad to me, may not be the best, but it's pretty good.

What I do know for sure is that the Bose head unit itself can be used only '03-'05 models.....the Bose amp might fall into the same category???

I thought that was because it was a different size since the dash changes..I just put an 06 dash in my car and its completely different

ZVR4- Are you still looking for a Bose Sub Amp? I have a Bose Sub Amp, Bose 4 Channel Amp, Bose Sub and Bose Head unit from my '07 350Z.

Let me know if you still need the amp.
