Bose Stereo...

The Bose sound system on my newly purchsased 2003 M45 is fairly unimpressive. I took it it for some service to the dealership to get the brakes looked at, and they loaned me new '06 G35. The car's audio system absoutely blows mine out of the water.

Located in the center package tray, is an amplified subwoofer, similar to what I had on my '01 BMW. It completely changes the dynamic of the sound system. Much fuller, richer sound.

My M45 also has what appears to be a subwoofer located in the center of the package tray. I asked my service advisor about the possibility of the amp in my car blowing a fuse (It happend in my BMW). He informed me that the '03 M45 does not have an amplified subwoofer at all, and that my audio system sounds as it should.

Anybody have any experience with this?
