My wife has a 1992 Infiniti Q45 all stock with blown out speakers. Where can I find some factory replacements?

Are you sure it is not the amplifiers? There was a factory recall by Bose and they have replaced all for those who ask nicely.

Speaking of the stock Bose speakers...in my 94 they still sound pretty good. Actually, damn good for 15 year old speakers. They distort fairly easily if you have bass heavy music playing though. What specs are available on these speakers, if any?

Also, the speaker in the driver door "pops" when I turn the ignition key to the acc position or start the car. Possible amp problem?

I'd say confirmed amplifier problem. I have used the carstereohelp people and they are good if not cheap. Shipping insurance is a major add on as OEM replacements are hundreds of dollars.

One of our sponsors in CA works on them also.

Cheaper to just go to a yard sale in the ghetto and purchase a oversized boombox/masterblaster and seatbelt that biotch in the rear seat!!!! Look for one with tons of flashing lights and 300 band equalizer and let er rip.

Hell, man. One of those Lasonic boom boxes? If I ever see one of those in a pawn shop or yard sale that looks like it still works, I'd consider it. Just such an awesome spectacle of 1980's/90's over indulgence. They make them with iPod docks now, but that's just not quite right.

Overall I agree with qship96 despite the sarcasm.. its probably cheaper and easier to just get an aftermarket HU... So you know, the speakers are likely fine its the amps that are messed up...

ahhhh 20 pounds of s*** in a 10 pound shiny box!!!!!

Throw that badboy over your shoulder and walk around downtown Baltimore and within 1 block you would be stabbed, shot, or tazered and forced to give it up to the homefries.
