My 99 QX4's BOSE system has developed a problem.

The rear speakers work fine but the front speakers "Cut out". If i turn the bass to 0, the front speakers will work, however, if I increase the bass, the front speakers cut out and no longer work.

I also noticed that the front right speakers works more often than the left front speaker.

I hate having to use the rear speakers to listen to music.

Any ideas whats wrong here?

thx in advance.

It's strange that both front channels cut out at the same time as Bose systems usually have seperate amps for each speaker location. If it were speaker overload, it wouldn't affect both speakers at the same exact time. Your issue may be the head unit itself.

One of my front speakers cuts out every once & a while. Wondering if you ever fixed this?

My QX4 had a simular problem when I bought it. The difference was it was the rear speakers that were doing it. The dealership I bought it from had the stereo power amp replaced. All has worked fine since.

You'll have to excuse me if I called something by the wrong name, the AMP they installed was made by Kenwood. The part I am talking about is not inside the radio, it is a seperate amplifier.
